Dean & Deluca

CJ has been bugging me to try Dean & Deluca at Orchard Central, Orchard Rd, Singapore, since its opening last year, so I finally gave in. Super love their pantry concept of house brands that I wish to bring them all home!!

CJ loved their Ham Sandwich that he finished that big portion all by himself..
I didn't really dig their lasagna, I think that it was lack in flavor, sigh, why do I always choose the wrong dish?? =p
I do hope I get to experience Dean & Deluca New York one day!! =`))

Epilogue Cafe

So the other day I accompanied my sister to study at Epilogue Cafe, Orchard Central, Singapore. The cafe itself is located within Prologue, which is a book store. Both Epilogue and Prologue are under the famous bookstore in Singapore, Popular Book Store.
When we were there, the cafe itself was pretty crowded, but it was filled with students who went there to study, so it was quite a crowded yet quiet place. My sister went there to study too, while I helped myself with drink and snack..=p

#CookForFamily

I got an email last month from Daniel of Daniel's Food Diary and he suggested a bloggers' #CookForFamily initiative where its main purpose is to encourage bloggers and hopefully their readers to cook for their family.. And I think it is an awesome idea!! With a lot of dining choices, nowadays a lot of families tend to eat outside and forgot the importance of healthier home cook meals. My mom always try to cook for us every time we have time to eat at home, and we love her dishes so much!!
This #CookForFamily is a bit of a challenge for me as I CANNOT cook!! Why started a food blog? Because I love FOOD and I love to eat!! =p So I chose to cook a simple Spaghetti Bolognese for my family, with the help from my mom..=p

MUST USE ALL THE LOGOS!!! #CookForFamily

The Ingredients.. I do not know how to prepare the Bolognese sauce, hence the Prego Sauce..=p
Photobucket
Put in the pasta!!!
Photobucket
Chopped  the meat, mushrooms, garlic, and shallot.. Also prepared a bit of cheese..=`)
Photobucket
I cooked!! and also took instruction from mom..=p
Well all I did was to put all the ingredients in the wok, mix them all together, but..close enough..=p

Pasta ready!!! =`) Photobucket
Put them all in!!!

and then the tomato sauce..

and..serve!!! =`)

Cook for mommy!! =`)

and sister..=`)

It was so simple, coz I can't cook and all, but for those who can cook, and if you put in extra effort, #CookForFamily would be a precious bonding time with your family..
This makes me realized, I should start learning how to cook and get all recipes from mommy!!! =`)

Olive Vine Pasta Fusion

The sis discovered this place and brought us to Olive Vine Pasta Fusion at Suntec City Mall Tower 2, Singapore. The place is quite nice, though not crowded, with rather dim lights for seats inside the cafe.. The place does not charge service tax, so we should go to the counter to place our orders, pick up our own utensils by the counter, also help ourselves with ice/warm water, sauces, and tissue papers on the condiments counter. We didn't order any drink so we kept top up our glasses with ice water, teehee..=p

Inside seats with dimmer lights..=`)

We chose outside seats coz there were three of us, so nothing romantic about it at all..=p

My Spaghetti Arrabiata with Pork at SGD 8.90
Never had spicy spaghetti but I like it!! =`)
Photobucket
The sis and CJ both ordered Crispy Chicken Arrabiata at SGD 9.90
Photobucket
CJ had the crispy chicken with non spicy spaghetti while the sis had it with spicy spaghetti..
I actually think that the spicy spaghetti tasted better..=p

I would say that they serve decent pasta with affordable price.. Not bad at all for your pasta fix!! =`)
