Ranch 57

CJ and I went to have dinner at Ranch 57, Plaza Medan Fair, Medan, Indonesia, the other day when I was in my hometown. The place is kinda nice with its own distinct concept, and the waiter kept telling us that Ranch 57 is under the same management as Lekker. I haven't been to Lekker yet, but heard that it's quite popular in Medan.

Nasi Goreng Balado was nice, but I found it too spicy for me. I love spicy food but I just can't handle them well nowadays I don't know why.. CJ's Chicken Fiesta was slightly burned, but was good flavor wise.Food are reasonably priced, however I found that their signature beverages are a tad too steep in price. Heard that they serve good coffee, so coffee lovers, you might want to give this a try..=`)

Habitat Coffee

So we love to hang out at cafe and we have always passed by this Habitat Coffee at 223 Upper Thomson Road, Singapore, and notice its clean, all white design. We went there on a Saturday, so it was pretty packed. We were seated at slightly "upstairs" side of the cafe where the lights are pretty dimmed. Though it was crowded at the cafe, but the ambiance was pretty nice.

We love the Black Velvet Cake as recommended by blogger Beatrice on her blog.. The truffle fries came in generous amount of fries we almost can't finished it..=`)

Overall a pretty nice cafe with pretty nice food..=`)

Dean & Deluca

CJ has been bugging me to try Dean & Deluca at Orchard Central, Orchard Rd, Singapore, since its opening last year, so I finally gave in. Super love their pantry concept of house brands that I wish to bring them all home!!

CJ loved their Ham Sandwich that he finished that big portion all by himself.. 

I didn't really dig their lasagna, I think that it was lack in flavor, sigh, why do I always choose the wrong dish?? =p

I do hope I get to experience Dean & Deluca New York one day!! =`))

Kith Cafe

So CJ and I had our Valentine's brunch at Kith Cafe, Park Mall, Penang Rd, Singapore last month. Been hearing about its good review and decided to try it out. We went there after lunch hour and the place was still quite pack despite it was a rainy day. We took their outdoor seat so to have our meal with view..=`)

Loved their coffee. The food was decent too. Not really into my breakfast's toast but maybe it was my poor choice of grain. Their beef with pasta was very good, I kept stealing CJ's spaghetti coz I need my carb!! =p

Their brunch menu is until 3 pm, but I would say that I prefer their dinner menu. Overall a very nice place to chill and have your cuppa fix. =`)

Oriole Cafe & Bar

I have been meaning to try Oriole Cafe & Bar, 96 Somerset Rd, Singapore, every time I walk pass it on my way from 313 Somerset to H&M..=p 

When CJ was in town last new year, we went there for a very late lunch.. Usually I would have prefer their al-fresco seats, but cause weather was too humid that day, I decided I needed air-con after all..=p

Since they are award winning baristas, coffee is a must..

Epilogue Cafe

So the other day I accompanied my sister to study at Epilogue Cafe, Orchard Central, Singapore. The cafe itself is located within Prologue, which is a book store. Both Epilogue and Prologue are under the famous bookstore in Singapore, Popular Book Store.

When we were there, the cafe itself was pretty crowded, but it was filled with students who went there to study, so it was quite a crowded yet quiet place. My sister went there to study too, while I helped myself with drink and snack..=p

Brunetti

Last Christmas, we had dinner at Brunetti, Tanglin Mall, Singapore. It looks like a pretty cafe with arrays of pretty macarons, cakes, and ice cream. There was a long queue for its dessert take away, so we decided to take our seats and ordered their mains.

Earl Grey Tea at SGD 5.00

Egg and Toast All Day Breakfast at SGD 10.90

Spaghetti Bolognaise at SGD 18.90

Chicken Nuggets at SGD 12.90

All the fried dishes and the pasta Bolognaise were pretty decent, though the prices are quite steep.. The only disappointment was their Egg and Toast from their All Day Breakfast. It was quite a basic dish yet it tasted bland. Not sure cause IT IS a basic breakfast dish. Oh well, next time will try to be more clever in choosing breakfast dish. Judging from its long dessert queue, maybe we'll try its macarons on next visit!! =`)
