Jai Thai Restaurant

I had this huge craving for tom yum last month and since my favorite stall to get my tom yum fix in Singapore has closed for good (super sad!!) I had to find decent tom yum to satisfied my craving!! I brought mom to try out Jai Thai Restaurant at Dhoby X'Change, Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, Singapore. We both ordered their Individual Set Menu that day. The set menus include drinks and dessert of the day.

Tom Yum Rice Set at SGD 6.80

Outram Ya Hua Pork Ribs Soup

Apparently Outram Ya Hua Rou Gu Cha Restaurant, located at Keppel Road, PSA Tanjong Pagar Complex, Singapore is very popular among celebrities. Hong Kong celebrities it is. What we had that day:

Pot of Tea at SGD 3.00
Photobucket
Spare Ribs Soup at SGD 7.00
Photobucket
What's Bak Kut Teh without Dough Fritters?? at SGD 2.00
Photobucket
Pig's Trotter at SGD 7.00
Photobucket
Noodle Soup at SGD 1.50
Photobucket
Watercress Soup at SGD 6.00
I've been here three times, and I think the food has gone from good to so-so only, and with price like that for the bak kut teh, I'd rather go to Song Fa Bak Kut Teh now..=p Still, it used to be famous and crowded so no harm in giving it a try..=`)
